The Best designer bumbags and their dupes
From runways to the high street, everyone seems to be loving one statement piece this season- bum-bags. The iconic, retro accessory is back with a bang, with everyone from Kendall Jenner to ASAP Rocky taking a fresh take on an old trend.
Of all the amazing designer bum-bags celebs have been reaching for recently, one is seen more often than others, the ‘Prada Nylon and leather belt bag’ (retails at €489). Seen on everyone from Bella Hadid to Kaia Gerber and of course none other than Irish beauty Rozanna Purcell.
However if you don’t have the extra cash to splash on a pricey one, there are plenty of great alternatives on the high street such as this gorgeous and nearly identical leather bum-bag available from Boohoo.com for only €9.
Another celeb favourite has been Louis Vuitton’s rendition of the bum-bag. Since Kendall Jenner was spotted wearing a vintage Louis Vuitton fanny-pack ,everyone from Shay Mitchell to Sofia Richie has been spotted rocking the trend since.
You can cop the ‘Louis Vuitton fanny-pack waist belt bag’ for around €1405, which although is probably just spare change to the ‘model squad’ ,for us students is out of reach. However, this €17 bum-bag from forever 21 looks just as chic and alot more affordable.
Over the past few months Gucci has dominated the fashion scene, creating new trends left right and centre. So its no surprise their Gucci GG Marmont Matelassé Leather Belt Bag’ is an absolute sell out.
However, with a price tag of €865, we can’t see ourselves buying one anytime soon. Luckily for us, forever 21 has an amazing dupe. The quilted material and colour are nearly identical so for just €17, it’s a total steal.
Finally if you’re going for a more sporty approach take inspiration from ASAP Rocky and go for bold colours and a slightly longer bum-bag that can double as a body bag.
This exact Balenciaga bag pictured worn by ASAP may be unavailable but the ‘Patagonia P-6 Mini Waist Pack’ shown below makes the perfect dupe for a relaxed yet effortlessly cool look with that bright pop of colour.
