The start of this year left us all rummaging in the back of our wardrobes for a pair of tracksuit bottoms and an old hoodie as quarantine gave us a case of the fashion blues. The lack of fashion experimentation these past few months has left us all feeling somewhat creatively muted, but on the bright side it has allowed us to save up for a new Autumn wardrobe.
While a second lockdown is looking very likely, there is nothing stopping us from dressing in our best outfits at home and Autumn 2020 has some gorgeous trends we simply won’t be able to resist.
The high street has certainly delivered on the new seasons less is more aesthetic. Think camel coloured coats, faux leather, roll neck knits and boots.
- Leather Trousers
This autumn trends is all about high wasted leather joggers and wide- leg trousers as seen on the catwalks of Cavalli, Givenchy and Versace, this season leather trousers are offering a cool girl image to any outfit. On the high street H&M and Zara offer a variety of leather trousers in the form of a skinny, mom and wide legged fit. While jeans are a classic staple in every wardrobe a pair of leather trousers are just as versatile and look great styled with a chunky cardigan or jumper, oversized blazer, a simple white t-shirt and a classic trench coat.
The shacket was a huge autumn/winter trend last year and it is still very much on 2020’s style agenda. They are perfect for the autumn weather as it starts to get slightly chilly but not cold enough for the winter coats just yet. Styled with a pair of jeans and trainers or a skirt and boots, the shacket will no doubt elevate any outfit to new fashion heights.
- Chunky Chelsea Boots
These boots have been spotted all over the Autumn/Winter runways and high street retailers have made sure they are heavily stocked with 2020’s latest trend. The boots put an edgy spin to the classic Chelsea boot and look good paired with any outfit. Spotted on the likes of Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, the chunky Chelsea boots is fast becoming an autumn staple you will need in your wardrobe this year.
- Camel coloured Coats
A firm autumn favourite, camel coloured coats are back on the autumn wish list. There is nothing more classic than a camel coloured coat. Puffers and teddy bear coats may come and go, the can trench take on a variety of styles, but a good camel coat is perpetual. Whether you pair it with jeans, pop it over a dress or even throw it on with a pair of joggers and a tee, you can always rely on it to keep you looking tres chic.
